Technical testing procedures
A) Functional testing
Functional testing of the unit can only be
performed on human subjects or using a
suitable simulator.
B) Leak testing of the pressure circuit and
error testing of the display
Note:
a) For testing to be carried out, the cuff must be
removed from the unit. On the side of the sleeve
(at the top and bottom of the unit) there are
two clips. To remove the sleeve, push the clips
out with a pointed tool (e.g. tweezers). Once
the sleeve is removed, the air connection is
visible.
b) To perform leak testing of the pressure circuit,
a tee connector must be used to connect the
rolled-up cuff and a pump bulb to the pressure
circuit.

c) When the pressure in the measuring mode
exceeds 320 mmHg, the quick drain valve
opens. When the pressure in the test mode
exceeds 320 mmHg, the display flashes.
Testing
1. Connect the unit to be tested with the pressure
generator (e.g. pump bulb).
2. Press the START button briefly. The unit
inflates the pressure circuit to about 180
mmHg.
