DO NOT o perate near drop-offs, ditches, or
embankments. Unit can suddenly turn over if
awheel isover the edge o facliff o rditch, orif
anedge c aves in.
Data i ndicates that o perators, age 60and
above, are involved inalarger percentage of
riding mower related injuries. These
operators should evaluate their ability to
operate the riding m ower safely enough to
protect themselves and others from serious
injury.
Read t he entire Owner/Operator manual and
other training material. Ifthe operator orthe
mechanic cannot read t he manual, itisthe
owner's responsibility toexplain ittothem.
Only t he user can prevent and isresponsible
foraccidents orinjuries occurring to
themselves, other people orproperty.

unit. Training includes actual operation.
Local regulations may r estrict the age ofthe

Wear adequate outer garments.
NEVER wear open s andals orcanvas shoes
during operation. Wear adequate safety gear,
protective gloves and footwear.
Wear proper footwear toimprove footing on
slippery surfaces.
Always wear safety goggles orsafety glasses
with side s hields when o perating mower.
Moving parts c an cut o ramputate fingers ora
hand. Wrap b lade(s) orwear gloves to
service. On multiblade mowers, rotation of
one blade will c ause allblades torotate.
NEVER place y our hands orany part ofyour
body o rclothing inside ornear any moving
part while u nit i srunning.
ALWAYS keep h ands and feet a way f rom all
rotating parts during operation. Rotating parts
can cut o ff b ody p arts.
ALWAYS keep b ody a nd hands away f rom
pin holes ornozzles which e ject hydraulic
fluid under pressure.
DO NOT t ouch p arts which a re hot. Allow
parts t ocool.
ALWAYS keep h ands and feet a way f rom all
pinch p oints.
Fumes from the engine exhaust can cause
death orserious injury. DO NOT r un engine in
anenclosed area. Always provide good
ventilation.

Braking and steering characteristics
Turning radius and clearances
Keep safety devices orguards inplace a nd
functioning properly. NEVER modify or
remove safety devices.
Do not o perate without either entire grass
catcher orthe discharge guard i nplace.
Stop e ngine before removing grass catcher or
unclogging chute.
Ensure Safety Interlock System i sfunctioning
properly. DO NOT o perate unit i fsafety
interlock isdamaged ordisabled.
Start and operate unit o nly w hen s eated in
operator's position. Steering control levers
must beinneutral, PTO disengaged and
parking brake set w hen s tarting engine.
Use c are when a pproaching blind c orners,
shrubs, trees o rother objects that m ay
obscure vision.
Dust, smoke, fog, etc. c an reduce vision and
cause anaccident. Mow only i ndaylight or
good a rtificial light.
Avoid slippery surfaces. Always be sure of
your footing.
DO NOT mow on wet g rass. Reduced
traction could c ause sliding and effect the
machine's stability.
Watch fortraffic when o perating near or
crossing roadways.
Never carry p assengers.
DO NOT t rytostabilize the machine by
putting your foot o nthe ground.
Never direct discharge towards persons or
property that m ay b einjured ordamaged by
thrown objects. Use extreme caution on
gravel surfaces.
