20)Always keep the area to be cleaned free from wires, stones,
debris, cans or paper rolls.
21)During operation, take care not to push the machine against
hard objects as it could be damaged.
24)Do not insert any object manually into the suction hose.
25)Do not start the machine in indoor or poorly ventilated areas
or in the presence of inflammable or explosive liquids, gases,
powders and/or elements.
26) The operator is responsible for other people in the working
area as far as accidents or danger caused by the use of the
machine is concerned.
27)Only work during daylight hours or with sufficient artificial
lighting.
28)Do not cross gravel roads or pathways when the machine
is operating.
29)When not in use, keep the machine in a dry place out of
reach of children.
30)Only use this machine in the way described in these instruc-
tions and only in the position illustrated in the instructions.
Any other position is dangerous.
31)Periodically check that the screws are tight.
32) Have worn or broken parts replaced. Only use original spare
parts and accessories.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY WARNINGS
1) The power supply voltage must match that indicated on
the technical data nameplate. Do not use any other type of
power supply.
2) Use an electric power supply protected by a circuit breaker
(RCD). The use of a suitable residual current device (RCD)
reduces the risk of electric shock. It is recommended to use
a device whose triggering current is less than or equal to 30
mA; consult your local electrician.
3) Do not pass over the extension cable while the machine is
running. Be aware of its position at all times.
4) Use the special cable hook to connect the extension cable.
5) Do not use the machine in the rain. Do not let it get wet or leave
it exposed to damp. Do not leave it outdoors overnight.
6) The power supply cable and extension cable must be checked
on a regular basis and before each use in order to check for
any signs of damage or wear. If they are seen to be in poor
condition, do not use them but have them repaired by an
authorised service centre.
7) Only use a certified extension cable for outdoor use, with
a section greater than or equal to the size of the equipment
cable, with a flexible sheath in resistant rubber (designation
60245 IEC 53) or PVC sheath (polyvinyl chloride designation
60227 IEC 53). Keep it away from the work area, from damp,
wet, greasy and sharp surfaces and also from sources of
heat and combustibles.
8) Only use an extension cable that is suitable for the power of
the machine you are using. Consult a competent electrician.
9) Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces.
10)Keep children away from the apparatus connected to the
power supply.
11) Keep the extension cable behind the machine, never in
front of it.
12) If the power cable is faulty, unplug it immediately. DO NOT
TOUCH THE CABLE.
- 6 -
This machine is manufactured with a double insulation system.
Double insulation offers additional electrical safety and means
that there is no need to earth the machine.
STARTING uP (FIG. D)
IMPORTANT! Do not operate the machine before completing
the assembly of all the parts.
The machine is supplied with some loose components.
Extract the machine and the loose components from the
packaging and assemble them as shown in FIG.D.
During parts assembly, the power supply plug must be
disconnected from the power socket. Make sure that the
machine is solidly assembled before starting it.
HOSE ASSEMBLY
Firmly attach the hose (1) to the machine body – its upper
part (2) will remain hooked – insert the supplied screws (3)
to block the hose and screw in fully. If the hose is made up of
two or more pieces (4), fit them to the part (1).
Do not operate the machine without the screws or if the hose
is incorrectly fixed, as the high speed of the outlet air may
lead to the detachment of said parts which in turn could hit
objects or people.
STARTING AND STOPPING
Secure the extension cable to the cable coupling and connect
it to the power supply plug (fig. E).
START
Activate the ON/OFF switch, by pressing the key on the side
marked "I" (start).
STOPPING
Activate the ON/OFF switch, by pressing the key on the side
marked "O" (off).
When not using the machine, turn it off and disconnect it from
the mains socket.
WARNINGS AND OPERATIONAL TIPS (FIG. F)
After having read the safety standards carefully, apply these
tips scrupulously to obtain maximum performance from your
machine. Go slowly. You will only be able to make full use of
the machine's potential after gaining sufficient experience.
During use, keep motor ventilation grids clean and free from
grass.
Point the hose downwards, start the machine, point the jet of
air in front of you and move forwards slowly.
Pay attention to the direction of the air jet as it could move some
heavy materials and cause injury or break something.
