Installation of jaw and chain support
Notice!
For the installation on a horizontal pipe, select a measuring point where the transducers can be mounted on the side
of the pipe, allowing the sound waves to propagate in the pipe horizontally. Thus, solid or liquid deposits on the bot-
tom of the pipe or gas bubbles in the upper part are prevented from influencing the propagation of the signal.
• Place the jaw and the chain support on the guiding rods, see Fig. 4.9.
• Slide the jaw 2 cm up to the end of the guiding rods the way.
• Position the chain support in a distance greater than WI Clamp dist. from the jaw, see section 5.2.
• Tighten the screws of the jaw and the chain support.

Notice!
If the guiding rods are too short because the distance is too large, fitting pieces are used. The chain support and the
guiding rods are not used, see Fig. 4.10.
