Malfunctions, Repairs and Warranty
Cracks in the insulation
The furnace insulation consists of a high-
grade, fire-resistant material. Due to the
thermal expansion, cracks develop in the
insulation after only a few heating cycles.
However, these do not have an influence
on the function or quality of the furnace.
8.1
Malfunctions
▷ In case of malfunctions, contact the manufac-
turer's Technical Service.
8.2
Repairs
Repairs may be carried out only by trained, spe-
cialised personnel.
Replacing the heating rod
After approx. 5 sintering runs have taken
place: In case of a defective heating rod in
the sintering furnace, always renew all
heating rods together.
▷ Switch the furnace off and pull the mains plug.
▷ If required, wait until the furnace has cooled to
room temperature.
▷ Dismantle the furnace cover (please refer to
page 34).
▷ Unscrew the metal connection strips and the
connection cables at the defective heating rod.
▷ Carefully pull the heating rod out to the top.
▷ Mount the new heating rod (please refer to
page 35).
▷ Mount the furnace cover (please refer to
page 37).
▷ Plug in the mains plug and switch the furnace on
again as required.
Replacing the thermoelement
▷ Switch the furnace off and pull the mains plug.
▷ If required, wait until the furnace has cooled to
room temperature.
▷ Dismantle the furnace cover (please refer to
page 34).
▷ Unscrew the screws of connection terminal 1
and pull out the cables.
▷ Unscrew the thermoelement screw 2 and care-
fully pull out the thermoelement to the top.
