Install the chosen accessory by observing the following recommendations:
• Be careful when handling the nozzles and do not place the nozzle while still hot on a heat-sensitive surface,
as it may cause flames and start a fire.
• Make sure you have firmly connected the accessory to the heat gun. Otherwise, the nozzle may drop during
operation and cause accidents.
• Use of incorrect or damaged nozzles can lead to overheating the device. Use only original nozzles.
3. Starting and stopping the heat gun
Before connecting the heat gun to the mains, check the following procedures:
1.
Appropriate clothing, as well as protection for the eyes, ears, hands, feet and inhalation mask should be
used according to the guidelines in the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Chapter.
2.
Visually inspect if all parts of the equipment are in perfect working condition. Replace any worn or damaged
parts before using the product.
3.
Adjust the temperature and install the accessory according to the desired application.
4.
Verify if the product voltage coincides with that of the local voltage.
ATTENTION:
After checking all the steps above, turn on the tool using the following instructions:
• Make sure that the on/off switch 4 is off (position 0) and connect the plug to the power supply source;
• Turn on the heat gun by moving the on/off switch 4 to position I or II, according to the airflow speed you
require (see table 8.1);
• Now, you can raise or lower the temperature gradually by turning the adjustment button 3. Rotate counter-
-clockwise to increase and clockwise to decrease the temperature.
Note: Some smoke may arise after turning on the product, which does not indicate a problem.
• To turn off the tool, set it to the lowest temperature to cool. Then put the on/off switch 4 to position 0,
turning off the heat gun.
ATTENTION:
4. Paint removal
If you use your heat gun to remove paint, observe the following recommendations:
• Select and install the appropriate accessory, according to the instructions on tem 2 – Installing acces-
sories;
• Adjust the air temperature;
• Direct hot air towards the paint to be removed;
• When the paint softens, scrape it using the scraper attachment 8.
Use only one hand to hold the heat gun. Don't place your other hand on the air vents
Wait for the total cooling of the tool before moving it or storing it.
