INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

ATTENTION!
Please refer to the initial pages of this manual for the figures mentioned in this chapter.

APPLIANCE DESCRIPTION

Strong stainless steel structure with 4 height adjustable
feet.
Legal dispositions, technical regulations and directives
The appliance manufacturer states that all their appliances
comply with EEC directives, and requires that installation is
EN
performed in observance of current standards.
When installation is being planned, please observe the
following dispositions:
- Current CEI dispositions
- Local building regulations and fire prevention
dispositions
- Current health and safety standards
- Dispositions from the electricity provider
Before beginning, remove all the packaging from the
appliance. Some parts are protected by adhesive film
which must be carefully removed. If any traces of glue
remain on the surface, they should be cleaned with
appropriate substances, e.g. benzene. Never use abrasive
substances.
Mount the feet on the appliance. The appliance must
stand perfectly level. Adjust the feet to correct any small
differences. The main switch or socket must be close to the
appliance and easy to access.
It is advisable to place the appliance under an extractor
hood so that steam is expelled quickly.
Room ventilation
There must be ventilation outlets in the room where
the appliance is installed to ensure the appliance works
correctly and to guarantee air exchange inside the room.
The ventilation outlets must be an appropriate size,
protected by grills and in positions where they will not be
obstructed. (See Fig.2 - Fig.3)
Warning
Do not install the appliance close to others that reach
very high temperatures, as there is risk of damaging the
electrical components.
During installation, check that the air extraction pipes are
free of any obstructions.
When using for the first time, or after a long period of
non-use, turn the device on gradually.
Start from the minimum and turn up gradually until

reaching maximum power after about 6 hours.
3 times every 2 hours is sufficient.
INSTALLATION
The appliance must be installed, started and
maintained by qualified operators. All the installation
work must be carried out in compliance with current
standards. The manufacturer declines all responsibility
in the case of malfunctions caused by incorrect or non-
complying installation.
Install the appliance with a least 25 cm space from the
side walls (see Fig. 1).
Walls, partitions, kitchen furniture, ornaments, etc.
near to the appliance must be in flameproof material.
If not, they must be covered with suitable flameproof
heat insulation material. Also pay special attention to
fire prevention regulations.
WARNING:
If models E7CG40M, E9CG40M, E9CG40M-BF, SE9CG40M,
SE9CG40M-BF are installed individually (not in series),
secure the anti-tipping foot to the floor with dowel screws
(see fig. 1a), observing the minimum installation distances
described above.
Bench appliances weighing less than 40 kg, must be
secured to the top surfaces using the supplied kit (see fig.
1b).
Unscrew one of the feet and slide the pin into the biggest
hole in the bracket "A", screw the foot back in and secure
the appliance to the surface using the screw "B". Always
respect the minimum installation distances.
- Turn off the main power switch before starting the work.
- For direct connection to the grid, a device must be
installed that guarantees grid disconnection, with
an opening distance between the contacts that
ensures complete disconnection in the conditions
of category high-tension III, in compliance with the
installation rules.
- If the bench models are not installed on a suspended
supporting structure, they must be mounted on an
appropriate support (see fig. 8).
- The yellow-green earth lead must never be broken.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Connect the appliance to the power grid as shown (see
Fig.4 – Fig.5):
