SAW BLADES
Removal
1. Grasp the flats of the Outer Blade Flange with an
adjustable wrench to keep the Blade Arbor from
rotating.
2.
Using the Retaining Screw Wrench inserted into the
Flange Retaining Screw, unscrew and remove the
Flange Retaining Screw.
3. Remove the Outer Blade Flange from the Blade Arbor.
4. Retract the Swing Guard and withdraw the Blade
through the Base.
Installation
1. Retract the Swing Guard and insert the Blade up
through the Base, making sure the teeth on the Blade
point in the direction in which the Blade will rotate
(counter–clockwise when facing the blade side of the
tool).
2. Slip the Blade over the Blade Arbor followed by the
Outer Blade Flange. Align the splines on the Blade
Arbor.
3. Screw the Flange Retainer Screw into the end of the
Blade Arbor.
4. Use an adjustable wrench to grasp the flats of the Outer
Blade Flage to keep the Blade Arbor from rotating.
Using the Retaining Wrench inserted into the Flange
Retaining Screw, tighten the Screw between 20 and
25 ft–lb (27 and 34 Nm) torque.

Setting the Depth of Cut
1.
Grasp the Throttle Handle with one hand and loosen
the Knob with the other.
2.
Hold the base and lift the motor and guard by the
Throttle Handle until the desired depth is indicated on
the scale scribed on the edge of the depth bracket.
3.
Securely tighten the Knob.
Setting the Angle of Cut
1.
Loosen theTilt Knob.
2.
Tilt the motor and Guard on the Base until the desired
setting is obtained as shown on the scale scribed on the
edge of the Front Tilt Sector.
3.
Tighten the Tilt Knob.
Sighting and Sawing
1.
Open the throttle wide by squeezing the Throttle Lever
in the Handle.
2.
Align the mark to be followed with the scribeline in the
Base and push the saw forward. The Swing Guard will
retract into the Stationary Guard as the Blade enters the
material to be cut.
3.
When the cut is finished, release the Throttle Lever and
lift the Saw from the work. The Swing Guard will
immediately swing out of the Stationary Guard to
cover the Saw Blade.
