Short Operating Time
If you have used the device continuously for 5 minutes, please
let it cool down fur approximately 5 minutes.
Beard trimming and cutting
Move the switch (4) in the direction of the blade head:
Start with the longest cutting level and shorten the whole beard
or the beard on the chin or cheeks gradually to the desired
length.
CAUTION:
Lock the selected cutting length (cutting length comb) in
position with the locking switch located on the back of the
housing (3).
Hair cutting/thinning
Move the switch (4) in the direction of the blade head:
Start with the longest cutting level and shorten the hair gradually
to the desired length.

Contour cutting and neck shaving
•
Remove the cutting length comb (7) and move the switch (4)
in the direction of the blade head.
•
The shearing head enables the precise trimming of the
beard contours even areas, which are diffi cult to reach, and
the clean shaving of the hairline in the neck area.
Maintenance and care
•
The regular cleaning and maintenance of the machine will
guarantee optimal results and long machine life.
•
Use only a slightly humid and soft cloth to clean the machi-
ne.
•
After using each time remove all the hair left on the machine
with cleaning brush.
•
Remove the cutting length comb and the cutting head to
either blow away the hair particles or brush them away with
the cleaning brush.
•
After using the machine each time apply 1-2 drops of acid-
free oil (sewing machine oil) on the cutting head.
CAUTION:
It is not allowed to recharge the battery continuesly more than
7.5 hours.

Removing the Batteries
The device contains rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries.
Remove these batteries before you dispose of the device.
WARNING:
Disconnect the device from the mains before you remove the
battery!

Use a small Philips screwdriver to release the screws from
the back of the device and under the blade head. The
housing can then be lifted off.
•
Remove the battery.
•
Use a pair of scissors to cut through the wires on the batte-
ry.
These can be returned to a collection point for old batteries or
special refuse. Contact your local authority for further informa-
tion.
Battery Disposal
As a consumer you are required by law to return used (rechar-
geable) batteries.
You can return your old (rechargeable) batteries free of charge
where they were bought, as well as at the local public collection
points in your town.
