5.1 Selecting the Size

>
Required tools: 743S1=60 diameter or 743E10 measuring tool
1) Measure the width of the torso 4 cm below the shoulder blades (see fig. 3).
2) Measure the width of the torso at the level of the iliac crest (see fig. 4).
3) Determine the size of the tube frames using the measured dimensions and the size chart on
page 5.
4) INFORMATION: Determine the size of the brace (XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL) on the basis of
the width of the torso below the shoulder blades.
If necessary, order the lower tube frame one size smaller or bigger and then replace it
(reference number 29R394=XS/S/M/L/XL/XXL).
5.2 Adaptation
NOTICE
Improper changes
Damage to the product due to overloading of the material and improper fit of the product due to
breakage of load-bearing components
Do not make any improper changes to the product.
1) NOTICE! Make sure not to damage the pins when attaching or removing the pads.
Position the brace frame on the back (see fig. 5):
Sacral pad on the sacrum
Shoulder pads approx. 4 cm below the shoulder blades
Optional: To increase wearer comfort, attach and adapt the side pads, which can be ordered
separately, to the ends of the tube frames. One set of side pads (29R390) is required for the
upper and lower tube frames (see fig. 6).
INFORMATION: To position the shoulder pads vertically, push the upper tube frame
inside the spring adapters. The maximum pull-out height is indicated on the tube
frame (see fig. 7). For horizontal positioning of the shoulder pads, move them hori
zontally. Do this by sliding a flat screwdriver under the cover caps, loosening the cov
er caps and pulling off the shoulder pads. Insert the shoulder pad pin in one of the
three holes (see fig. 8).
2) After vertical and horizontal positioning, put on the cover caps.
