DISINFECTION
Transducer disinfection
Repeat all the steps previously described, that is from point 1 to point 8 of Cleaning
transducer section, replacing water with a chemical disinfectant electrolytic oxidizing
chlorine type, (active ingredient: sodium hypochlorite) specifically designed for disinfection
and available in all pharmacies, carefully following the relevant instructions. Then rinse
with clean water and finally dry the transducer area with a sterile gauze, without exerting
unnecessary pressure on the transducer itself.
Accessory disinfection
The accessories that can be disinfected are (A4-A6-B-C-D-E)
The disinfection procedure described in this paragraph is to be performed before using
the accessories and is effective only if all the prescriptions herein are met and all the
components involved are previously sanitized.
The disinfectant to be used must be of electrolytic oxidizing chlorine type, (active
ingredient: sodium hypochlorite), specific for disinfection and is available in all pharmacies.
Procedure:
- Fill a container, suitable to contain all the individual components to be disinfected, with
a solution of drinking water and disinfectant, while respecting the proportions indicated
on the packaging of the disinfectant itself.
7. Pour the water off by inclining the nebuliser as shown in the
picture.
8. Dry the transducer area with a sterile gauze without
pressing the transducer. If the transparent cover (A6) looks
wet or dirty, take it out and clean it along with its disk.
