Mode of operation
The Dräger DrugTest 5000 TTK does not contain any
components suitable for use as drug evidence, but is externally
the same design as the Dräger DrugTest 5000 STK. This

special ID that is detected by the Analyzer. Depending on
whether a test cartridge with a red or yellow cap is used, the
Analyzer gives a positive or negative test result after completing
the regular test stages.
Using a test cartridge with a red cap (identification on
the label VERSION: TRAINING (+)) will deliver a positive
result.
Using a test cartridge with a yellow cap (identification on
the label VERSION: TRAINING (-)) will deliver a negative
result.
The yellow cartridges used with the training test cartridges,
do not contain any buffer solution. The risk of fluid escaping
is avoided, even following incorrect handling.
