If the operator is controlled by a switch that is manually powered, it should
be positioned in a visible place with respect to the apparatus, but anyway
far from movable parts and at a height greater than 1,5 m.
For motors belonging to the LOOP 50 series, the minimum diameter of the
housing pipe is 50 mm.

5) ACTUATOR INSTALLATION
5.1) Preliminary checks
Check that:
•
The structure is sufficiently robust (tube thickness 1÷1.2mm). Repair or
replace faulty or worn parts.
•
the model chosen is suitable for the size and weight of the roller shutter
to be automated. Fig. 2 shows the maximum weight in kilograms for each
model and each diameter of tube to be fitted.
•
the adapters for the tube and the fixing brackets are suitable for the type
of installation to be carried out.Consult the catalogue for accessories and
purchase the necessary parts.
5.2) Calculation of the winding tube length
a) Fit the appropriate support bracket, and check that the roller is parallel
and perpendicular to the shutter panel (fig.3).
b) Calculate the length of the tube, as shown in fig.4. The formula is:
where:
B = Winding tube length
L = Total clearance inside the shutter box
A = Distance between the box wall and end-of-stroke towing ring nut (fig.4-
rif."G"). Insert the end-of-stroke towing ring nut and position the square
shaft which secures the actuator to the support bracket fitted; measure
the distance between the inside box wall and the edge of the end-of-
stroke towing ring nut (fig. 4-rif. "G").
C = Distance from the box wall to the winding tube on the side opposite the
actuator.
5.3) Operator assembly
a) Insert a towing ring nut suitable for the existing winding tube (fig.4-
ref."G").
b) Fit the supporting plate with square pin (fig. 5-rif."L") into the special
housing of the end-of-stroke limiting device (fig.5-rif."M").
c) b) Insert the pulling wheel (fig.5-ref."C") in the towing shaft and secure
it with the clip (fig.5-ref."F").
