Assembling the handle bar

1. Insert the two lower bars (7) into

the implement case (11) and
screw it on with the two Philips
screws.
2. Secure the centre bar (3) to the
lower bars (7) with the screws
and wing nuts (14a).
3. Use the screws and wing nuts
(14b) from the package to
mount the upper bar (1) on the
cross bar (3).
4.
Use the two cable clips (13a+b)
to attach the power cord (2) to
the bar.
Mounting and emptying the
collection bag
WARNING: Never operate the
implement without the impact
protector. Danger of Injury!
The collection bag is delivered in a folded
state and must therefore be assembled
before it is mounted on the implement.
1. Assemble the collection bag

rods (24).
2. Pull the collecting bag over the
bag rods.
3. Slip the plastic straps (25) over
the collection bag rods.
Mounting the collection bag
on the implement:
4. Lift the impact protector (6).
5. Push the pins on the collection
bag rods (26) into the socket in
the implement case (11).
6. Release the impact protector so
that it holds the collection bag
(5) in its position.

Removing and emptying the
collection bag:
6. Lift the impact protector (6) and
take out the collection bag (5).
The rear wheels are swivel-hinged
to stabilise the appliance when the
bag is full.

concerning noise protection.

Setting the working positions

The implement has 4 princi-
pal position settings:
Transport position
This position sets the maximum safety
spacing between the tool and the floor.
Working position
Set this position when working with a new
implement.
Readjustment positions
The working position can be lowered with
increased knife and sprung tine wear.
Wear can be identified from an increas-
ingly poor result.
When the implement is delivered it
is in the Transport Position setting
1. Check that the appliance is turned off
before adjusting the working position.
