u Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
Replacing the Sanding Sheet
When attaching a new sanding sheet, remove any dust or
debris from the sanding plate 4 (e. g. with a brush).
To ensure optimum dust extraction, pay attention that the
punched holes in the sanding sheet match with the holes in
the sanding plate.
Sanding Sheets without Velcro Backing (see figure A– C)
n Unlock both sanding-sheet clamps 5 and swivel them
downwards.
o Insert the sanding sheet 6 under the rear clamping
bracket 3. Ensure that the sanding sheet 6 is not too
short and that it is correctly clamped. Swivel the
sanding- sheet clamp 5 back into the starting position
and lock it there.
p Place the sanding paper taut around the sanding plate 4.
Clamp the front part of the sanding sheet under the front
clamping bracket 7. Ensure that the sanding sheet 6 is
not too short and that it is correctly clamped. Swivel the
sanding-sheet clamp 5 back into the starting position
and lock it there.
Sanding sheets without holes, e. g. from rolls or by the meter,
can be punctured with the perforating tool 12. For this, push
the power tool with the sanding sheet mounted onto the
perforating tool (see figure F).
To remove the sanding sheet 6, unlock both sanding-sheet
clamps 5 and pull the sanding sheet out of its holder.
Sanding Sheets with Velcro Backing
Sanding plates 4 fitted with Velcro backing can be used to
fasten sanding sheets with Velcro adhesion quickly and easily.
Before attaching the sanding sheet 6, free the Velcro backing
of the sanding plate 4 from any debris by tapping against it in

Position the sanding sheet 6 flush alongside one edge of the
sanding plate 4, then lay the sanding sheet onto the sanding
plate and press firmly.
To remove the sanding sheet 6, grasp it at one of the tips and
pull it off from the sanding plate 4.
