WARNING!
When installing the PMI in a control cabinet or in a protective housing,
make sure that the specified maximum temperature (Ta) around the PMI is
not exceeded:
When installed vertically, the permitted ambient temperature is:
Ta = 0 °C ... +50 °C.
Protect the unit from overheating:
- When installing the unit within a control cabinet, you must ensure the
unit's venting slots are not obstructed
- Protect the unit from direct sunlight and dust.
Electrical connections
The PMI needs electrical connections for data exchange with the following
units:
• Programmable safety systems (e.g. PSS)
• Configuration unit (programming device or PC)
• Printer
• Fieldbuses
WARNING!
Use plug-in connections to secure all the connected cables so that they
cannot work their way loose. All the plug-in connections should be bolted
or clamped.
Replace any defective bolt interlocks or connection clamps.
