Installing the monitor
10.1
General installation instructions

Select a suitable installation location (see fig. 6 B and C, page 7).
When selecting the installation location, proceed as follows:

Screw the monitor holder on to the monitor.
➤
Place the monitor and the attached holder in a test position (fig. 6 D, page 7).
➤
Ensure that you have a clear view of the monitor (see fig. 6.B and C, page 7).
➤
The installation location should be flat.
➤
Ensure that the contact area between the monitor holder and the installation base is
as big as possible.
➤
Before the final installation check that there is sufficient room underneath the instal-
lation location to attach the washers and nuts.
➤
Bear in mind the weight of the monitor. Are reinforcements (bigger washers or plates)
needed?
➤
Is it possible to lay the connection cable and extension cable to the the monitor?

When all points have been considered you can start the installation.
10.2
Installing the monitor
➤
Mark the outlines of the corners of the monitor holder on the dashboard.
➤
Unscrew the monitor holder from the monitor.
➤
Hold the monitor holder in the outlines marked beforehand and mark at least four dif-
ferent drilling points (see fig. 6 E, page 7).

When using self-tapping screws to make an attachment:
This should only be done onto sheet steel with a minimum thickness of
1.5 mm.
The following should be observed when making drill holes in sheet metal:
–
Check beforehand that there is sufficient room for the drill head to emerge
once the holes have been made.
–
Using a hammer and centre punch, make a small dent to prevent the drill
head from slipping.
–
Grind all drill holes and provide them with rust-protection.

Drill a hole of Ø 4 mm on the previously marked points.
