Installing MagicSpeed
To make and test the electrical connection, the following tools are required:
Diode test lamp (1 11, page 3) or voltmeter (1 12, page 3)
Wire cutter (1 13, page 3)
Wire stripper (1 14, page 3)
Pliers (1 15, page 3)
Crimping tool (1 16, page 3)
Insulating tape (1 17, page 3)
Hot air blower (1 19, page 3)
Soldering iron (1 20, page 3)
Solder (1 21, page 3)
Sealant
Cable bushing sleeves (if necessary)
To secure the module and the cables, you may require additional screws
and cable binders.
6.2 Fitting the electronic module
When selecting the installation location, observe the following
instructions:
Install the electronic module
– Behind the glove compartment
– Behind the footwell on the driver or passenger side
– Under the dashboard on the driver side
– Not anywhere subject to heat or moisture
– Not in the engine compartment
– Not near high-voltage components
– Not directly at ventilator nozzles.
Where possible use existing holes in the vehicle.
