2 Safety instructions

2.1 About this section

This product has been manufactured to be state-of-the-art. Nevertheless, there is a
risk of personal injury and property damage if you do not take note of this section
and follow the safety instructions in this document.
Read this manual carefully and completely before you start working with the product.
Keep these instructions accessible to all users at all times.
Always include them when giving the product to a third party.

2.2 Intended use

The product is a machine (according to the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC).
It may be used as follows:
• For use in clean, medium industrial spaces.
• Only if it has suffi cient structural stability on fi rm, level ground or it has been
secured against tipping by screwing it to the fl oor.
• To provide manual workstations with containers (cases) at an ergonomically
favorable height.
• To provide manual workstations with containers (cases) on fl oor rollers at an
ergonomically favorable height.
• With manual operation.
• With operation via the optional sensor unit. (Automatic coast-down with refl ection
sensor / automatic stacker.)
• For total loads of up to 220 kg (including load lifting device).
• Only with a back-up fuse ≤ 16 A.
This product is intended for commercial and not private use.
Intended use also includes having read and understood these instructions, especially
the section "Safety instructions".

2.3 Improper use

Any use other than that described as intended use is considered to be improper, and
therefore not permitted. Bosch Rexroth AG is not liable for damage resulting from
improper use. The user alone bears any risks associated with improper use.
Improper use includes:
• The initial start-up or recommissioning of the product without prior electrical
and safety engineering acceptance of the arrangement of the product and of the
arrangement location by the relevant qualifi ed operative.
• The initial start-up or recommissioning of the product, without prior risk
assessment according to the occupational safety law (D), or general guidelines
89/391/EWG.
