le socket to ensure it can be rapidly disconnected from the mains
in the event of a fault. Do not operate the product if it exhibits
visible damage or the mains cable/plug is defective. As additional
protection, it is recommended to install a residual current device
(FI/RCD) with a tripping current of no more than 30 mA. Consult
with an electrician for advice.
Only open the product as described in this manual. Leave repairs
to experts in order to prevent hazards. Consult a specialist work-
shop. Liability is waived and warranty claims expire if repairs or
changes to the product are carried out independently of if the pro-
duct is improperly connected or operated incorrectly. This product
features electrical and mechanical parts which are indispensable
for protecting against potential hazards.
Never touch the plug with wet hands. Never pull out the plug from
the socket using the cable - always pull on the plug. Keep the pro-
duct, plug and all cables away from open fi res and hot surfaces.
Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping risk and do not
place it under the ground. Lay cables in such a way that they will
not be damaged by lawn mowers and other similar devices. Do not
kink the cable and do not lay it over sharp edges. Do not use an
extension cable, multiple socket adapters or other adapters.
In order to prevent severe damage to the cleaner, never power on
the unit when it is outside of the swimming pool! The device must
be connected to an earthed 230 V protective contact socket. Do
not operate the cleaner when people are in the pool. If you pull the
cleaner out of the water, do not grasp the unit directly to the cable
but at the
retaining bracket. Before switching on the unit and let espcape
the complete air. Before power on, make sure the cable is fully
released to avoid any winding, which could affect the cleaner's
performance or cause damage. The fi lter bags should be cleaned
immediately every time you use the unit. The cleaner should be
stored in a cool and
ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, when not in use. The
power supply unit should be placed in a shaded area. In order to
avoid overheating and the potential damage of components, never
cover the power supply unit. Only authorized after sales service
personnel should open and repair the cleaner's motor assembly
and power supply unit. The cleaner may only be used to clean
swimming pools. Any other use wages to the immediate maturity
of the warranty claim. Children may not use the cleaner. The clea-
ner is not a toy. Do not uncover the protective fi lm which is sticked
on the operating panel. The automatic pool cleaner is not suitable
for swimming pools with a foil thickness of less than 0.4 mm. It
may be possible in certain circumstances that the liner gets dama-
ged. A use of the pool cleaner below the specifi ed foil thickness is
at your own risk.
Your cleaner has been carefully tested after manufacture and left
the factory in perfect technical condition. To maintain this orderly
condition and to ensure safe operation, the user should always
adhere to all recommended instruction in this manual. If there
are indications that safe operation of the pool cleaner can not be
guaranteed, the product is to be immediately unplugged from the
electricity supply and prevented from unintended reconnection.
This is the case:
■ if the device shows visible damage
■ if the device no longer seems operational
■ after prolonged storage under unfavorable conditions
When the power cord or other parts of this appliance is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a
similarly qualifi ed person in order to avoid a hazard.
Position the power supply
The power supply of the device should be appropriately positi-
oned to allow the cleaner to reach all corners of the basin. In order
to avoid any accident/damage, the power supply unit should be
steadily placed and fi xed at a minimum distance of 3.5m from the
pool edge. Attach the power supply with the included safety line
(fi g. 37).
Only use the supplied control/power supply unit. Never operate the
robot without the supplied control unit. Do not operate the robot
with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system. Do not use
the control unit/power supply in the rain. Never reach for an elec-
tric device if fallen into the water. In such a case unplug immedia-
tely. Always switch off the robot and unplug it from the electrical
outlet before cleaning, cleaning the fi lter or when it is not in use or
a fault has ocurred.
Never expose the control unit/power supply and the robot to high
temperatures or weather effects (rain etc.). Never immerse the
control unit/power supply in water for cleaning. Do not use the
robot with any cracks or fi ssures on the plastic components or
have deformed. Replace damaged parts only with suitable original
spare parts.
