PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Before using the contact grill for the first time, proceed as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging
material as well as any promotional stickers. Keep the packaging (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children.
After unpacking the appliance, carefully check it for external damage that may have occurred during transport.
Fully read the instruction manual and store it for future reference.
Place the contact grill on a flat, stable surface. Clean the outside of the contact grill and the grill plates with a slightly damp
cloth and then wipe with a dry cloth. For the best result, lightly cover the grill plates with some cooking oil.
Place the contact grill on a stable heat-resistant surface. Fully unwind the cord and insert the plug in the wall socket. When used
for the first time, a little smoke could come off the contact grill. This is normal and is caused by burning greases and oils that
were used during the manufacture of the appliance. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
