➢ ➢ Disconnect power cord from
➢ ➢ Pry out light lens at slot by inserting
screwdriver into slot, pushing down
on the lens and rotating the
screwdriver handle toward unit.
➢ ➢ Remove the light bulb by pulling
straight out.
CAUTION
Do not use a bulb rated over 9W (15V).
During extended use, heat from the bulb
could overheat surrounding plastic parts.
➢ ➢ To replace the light bulb carefully
insert securely into slot. Replace lens
cover.
➢ ➢ Secure light lens by snapping into
place.
➢ ➢ Replace belt whenever a burning
rubber smell caused by excessive
slippage occurs.
➢ ➢ Place carpet-bare floor selector in
CARPET position.
➢ ➢ Remove lower plate.
➢ ➢ Remove agitator by carefully lifting
out.
➢ ➢ Remove worn or broken belt.
➢ ➢ Loop new belt (Panasonic Type UB8
only) around motor shaft and brush
pulley; see illustration for correct
belt routing.
