Operating instructions SATAminijet 4 HVLP

2. Functional Description

2.1 General Points

Mordant, separating agent, lacquers and paint may be used with the SATAminijet. Due to the
special air cap design, very low overspray and fine atomization are achieved. Air pressure of
2 bar (29 psi) at the spray gun air inlet provides internal air cap pressure of 0,7 bar (10 psi).
the SATAminijet provides fine atomization and is suitable for all works which require perfect
finish results regardless of fan width. The variable round-/flat spray control can be set from
the finest size up to its maximum fan width. Precise material flow may be set by adjusting the
fluid control knob.
2.2 Rule 1151
The maximum inlet air pressure of 2 bar (29 psi) is stamped on the spray gun body. The
maximum internal air cap pressure 0,7 bar (10 psi) at 2 bar (29 psi) inlet air pressure will not
be exceeded at air cap center or horns.
2.3 Features
Spray gun body is labeled with HVLP.
Paint nozzle and air cap: the fluid tips are stamped with the nozzle size. For example, 0,8
means a size of 0,8 and the H stamping indicates HVLP. On all sizes, the air cap is marked
denoting "HVLP 4" or "SR 4".

4. Putting into Operation

Before putting into operation, and especially after each cleaning and any repair work,
check to see that all screws and nuts are tight. This applies in particular for the material flow
control screw (counter nut), the round/flat spray control as well as the headless pin, pos.
64972, for the air micrometer. The paint spray gun has been treated with an anticorrosive agent
before leaving the factory and must therefore be flushed out thoroughly with thinner before. For
servicing/repair work of any kind, the system must be devoid of pressure, i.e. disconnected
from the air supply. Failure to respect this safety warning may result in damage and injuries,
even death at worst. SATA does not take any responsibility for possible results of such failure.
