4.2 Mains connection
The dust extractor S 50 / S 25 is equipped with
protective earthing according to Class I and may
therefore only be connected to socket outlets with
protective earth conductor.
Prior to commissioning make sure that the mains
voltage agrees with the operating voltage stated on
the machine's rating plate.
4.3 Replacement of folded filter cartridge
The folded filter and the motor protection filter can be
accessed from the clean air filter side.
Using a coin or similar object, turn the catch 7
(fig. 1) on locking bolt 9 anticlockwise by 90°
and push the locking bolt 9 to the rear.
Fold up the hood and remove the filter
cartridges 5 (fig. 5) to the top.
Insert the new filter cartridges and pay attention
to a neat and tight fit of the filters.
The polyester filter cartridge
available as special accessory
which is also suitable for wet
vacuuming features an improved
dust collection efficiency and at the
same time a high air passage and
a longer service life.
Fold down the hood and return to its initial
position by slightly pressing on the locking bolt 9
(fig. 1). The device is now once more closed.
4.4 Replacement of filter bag
Danger
This device may contain hazardous
dust. Emptying and maintenance
operations including the disposal of
dust collection containers may only
be carried out with appropriate
protective equipment.
If the control display starts to blink during operation,
the paper filter bag needs to be emptied.
Switch off the device to exchange the paper
filter bag.
Pull the dust extractor's plug.
Open the snap locks 10 (fig. 1).
Detach the upper part of the dust extractor from
the container 12 (fig. 4).
Pull the paper filter bag 8 from the suction
opening to the top (25 l container) or to the rear
(50 l container).
Close the paper filter bag flange by turning
down the cover.
Take the new paper filter bag by its flange and
push it vertically down into the suction opening
guide 11 up to the limit stop (25 l container). On
the 50 l container, first slide it over the intake
port at the bottom, then over the locking cam at
the top.
Put the upper part of the dust extractor back
onto the container.
Close the snap locks.
Only use the paper filter bag for dry vacuuming.
4.5 Disposal of filter bags
Pull the filter bag carefully from the paper filter
retainer avoiding jerky movements. Dispose of it in an
impervious bag in compliance with the valid
regulations for the disposal of such wastes.
4.6 Appliance plug with automatic switch-on/off
function for electronic tool / dust generator
The dust extractor is equipped with a socket outlet 4
(fig. 1) and automatic switch on/off function for
electrical tools.
To ensure that the entire dust is still vacuumed after
switch off and while the electrical tool is coasting
down, the electronic system only switches off the
vacuum cleaner approx. 3-5 seconds after the
electrical tool is switched off.
4.7 Volume flow display
The fixed value of the volume flow display 3 (fig. 1) is
set such that when the average air speed in the hose
system drops below 20 m/s, the control display 3
blinks as indication that the filter bag or the container
is full.
