Removing the battery
1. Make sure that the power switch of the backpack battery and
the main switch of the power tool are turned off.
2. To remove battery, depress adapter latch, and slide adapter
out of the ECHO rechargeable power tool.
3. Put the removed adapter into the adapter holder on the waist
belt. When you put the adapter into the adapter holder, put it
with the power cable coming out of the back side so that it
will be less likely to get entangled with your arm.
Changing outlet port for power cable
You can select a direction of outlets for the power cable ex-
tending from the battery between the right and left directions
according to directions of operation.
1. Take off the belt with the hook and loop fastener on the front
which fastens the battery cover, and remove the belt.
2. Take off the belt on the left and right sides of the battery cov-
er, and turn off the top side.
