Adjusting the Cutting Angle
Before any work on the machine itself, re-
move the battery.
Loosen the winged screws 9 and 17.
It is best to place the machine on the face side of
the blade guard.
Tilt the base plate away from the machine until
the required cutting angle is adjusted on the cut-
ting angle scale 8.
Tighten the winged screws again.
Note: For mitre cutting, the cutting depth is
smaller than the value shown on the cutting depth
scale 25.
Cutting Marks (see figure
The cutting mark 0° ( 12) indicates the position of
the saw blade for right-angled cuts.
The cutting mark 45° ( 11) indicates the position
of the saw blade for 45° cuts.
Both cutting marks include the width of the saw
blade. Always guide the saw blade off of the
drawn-up cutting line so that the required meas-
ure is not reduced by the width of the saw blade.
For this, choose the corresponding notch side of
the cutting mark 0° ( 12) or 45° ( 11) as shown in
the illustration.
Note: It is best to carry out a trial cut.
Initial Operation
Inserting the Battery
Insert the charged battery 1 into the grip until it
engages noticeably.
Switching On and Off
For starting operation of the machine, actuate
the safety switch against starting 4 first, and then
press and hold the On/Off switch 3 afterwards.
To switch off the machine, release the On/Off
switch 3.
For safety reasons the On/Off switch of
the machine cannot be locked; it must
remain pressed during the entire opera-
tion.
Run-On Brake
An integrated run-on brake immediately reduces
the speed of the saw together with the saw blade
after switching off the machine.

Changing the Tool
Before any work on the machine itself, re-
move the battery.
Wear protective gloves.
The saw blades used must correspond to
the characteristic data in these operating
instructions.
Use only saw blades with an allowable
speed matching at least the no-load speed
of the machine.
For changing the tool, it is easiest to stand the
machine on the front end of the motor housing.
Removing (see figure
Press spindle lock 6 and keep depressed.
)
G
The spindle lock 6 may be actuated only
when the saw blade is at a standstill.
Unscrew clamping bolt 23 with the Allen key 7.
Remove clamping flange 22.
Tilt back the retracting blade guard 14 and hold
firmly.
Remove the saw blade.
Mounting (see figure
Clean the saw blade and all the clamping parts to
be assembled.
Tilt back the retracting blade guard 14 and hold
firmly.
Place the saw blade onto the mounting flange 21.
Assemble
flange 22.
Tighten the clamping bolt 23 with the Allen key 7.
Tightening torque: 6 – 9 Nm; equivalent to hand-
tight plus
Take care that the mounting positions of
the mounting flange 21 and clamping
flange 22 are correct.
When mounting: Ensure that the cutting direction
of the teeth (direction of arrow on saw blade) and
the direction-of-rotation arrow on the blade guard
match.
