2 Section for simplified use

WARNING
Before reading this chapter you should have carefully read the previous chapter.
To simplify the use of the receiver and the management of several digital channels, there are some Windows and menus
accessible by pressing a single button on the remote control (see section 1.3.2). They are meant for frequent use and
their functions are essential for a quick interaction with the receiver.
For advanced use of the device, its settings and customizations, please refer to Chapter 3.

2.1 Quick TV/Radio channel selection

To change the channel, proceed in one of the following ways:
1.
Press the buttons CH+/CH- on the remote control to skip to the next/previous channel.
2.
Enter the desired channel number directly with the digit keys 0÷9 on the remote control.
3.
Press TV/RAD on the remote control to switch between TV and radio channels of the receiver.
4.
Alternatively, for a convenient way to manage the large number of TV and radio channels that digital terrestrial
broadcasting offers, use the quick channel list accessible while watching programs by pressing OK on the remote,
then:
Press ▼/▲ to scroll through the list of one channel at a time, or press the CH+/CH- buttons to quickly browse
the list one page at a time.
Press OK on channel chosen to tune in to it.
For an advanced management of channel list, in particular for the construction of a favorite channels list, refer to
paragraph 3.2.1.

2.2 Channel information banner

Each time you change channels or you press the INFO button, for a few seconds an information window will appear at
the bottom of the screen. This is known as the channel information banner and the information that may be presented in
this banner, when transmitted by the broadcaster, are:
1.
The channel number.
2.
The channel name.
3.
The current time and date.
4.
The title of the current and following program.
5.
Optional data which may be present such as subtitles (
NOTE
If the broadcaster does not transmit any of the above information, it will not appear on the channel banner.
Also, when the info banner of channel is active, pressing INFO will display technical information on the current channel.

2.3 Electronic Program Guide (EPG)

Some digital TV channels broadcast, in addition to special audio-video data of the viewed program, but also information
about the program viewed and, in some cases, even the channel's daily or weekly program schedules.
To consult the EPG of the tuned channel, press the EPG button on the remote, sequentially:

Use the
arrow keys to select a channel or aprogram.
Use the ◄/► to move among the various events programmed on the chosen channel.
Press the RED (
channel.
In corrispondance with an event, press the OK button to consult additional information available.
Use the GREEN (
be viewable from the menu System Setup > Timer Setting (section 2.7).
Use the EXIT button to leave the EPG.
WARNING
The EPG information is optional data transmitted by broadcasters. Therefore, failure to display all or some of the
information is not a symptom of a malfunctioning of the receiver.

2.4 Teletext function

If the viewed channel has Teletext data:
Use the TEXT to start it.
Use the numeric keys 0÷9 to enter a page number and the arrow keys ◄/► to go to any subpage.
Press the TEXT button again or Exit to leave it.
