Selecting a breathing technique
You can choose between the "RELAX" and "4-7-8" breathing techniques on the
device. The light pulses in a different rhythm depending on the selected breathing
technique.
Breathe in and out in time with the light projection.
Circle of light increases: breathe in through the nose.
Circle of light decreases: breathe out through the mouth.
Additionally with breathing technique "4-7-8" –
Circle of light is still: hold your breath.
Use the breathing technique controller (located on the
back of the sleep aid) to select your preferred breathing
technique.
• Relax breathing technique (40% breathing in; 60% breathing out):
The breathing frequency gradually reduces from a slightly faster frequency to
6 breaths per minute. This means breathing in for 4 seconds, and out for 6 sec-
onds.
• 4-7-8 breathing technique (an established method in meditation and yoga):
4 seconds of breathing in, 7 seconds of holding your breath, and 8 seconds of
breathing out.
