• Protect the device from knocks, damp, dust, chemicals, significant fluctuations
in temperature, direct sunlight, splashes, and sand, and ensure that sources of
heat are at a sufficient distance (ovens, heaters).
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.
General notes on handling batteries
WARNING
• If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, wash out the affected
area with water and seek medical assistance.
• If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compart-
ment with a dry cloth.
• Protect batteries from excessive heat.
• Risk of explosion! Do not throw batteries into a fire.
• Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. So batter-
ies should be stored out of reach of small children.
• Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
• Do not charge or short-circuit the batteries.
• If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries
from the battery compartment.
• Only use an identical or equivalent battery type.
