Menu structure
The PEX 1000 features a two-digit 7-segment display and
two scroll keys (key ▲ and key ▼) to navigate through the
described menus.
Pressing both scroll keys simultaneously equals pressing
an OK key, indicated as "keys (▲+▼)" in the following.
Key ▼ is additionally marked with an M to indicate that you
can enter the calibration or maintenance menu when
pressing this key.
Both these menus can only be exited using the ▲ key.
Display and scroll keys are accessible after opening the
housing (see picture).

Notes concerning the display
In the measuring mode, the two-digit display shows the
currently measured concentration in %LEL (00 to 99 or 0.0
to 9.9 %LEL).
4.2.1
Calibration and maintenance
If the calibration or configuration menu is entered this is
indicated by a displayed point (bottom right) flashing with approx. 1 Hz.
4.2.2
Faults
Faulty states are indicated by alternatively showing two horizontal lines and the current error
code (E0 through E8).
4.2.3
Behaviour after switch-on
All 14 LED segments including both decimal points are activated for 5 seconds directly after
switching power on. This is a lamp test to make sure that the display works properly.
Then, the display shows two horizontal lines and the measured value for approx. one minute
before it switches to measuring mode. During this time the calibration and configuration menu
cannot be entered.
