Inserting the batteries

1. Open the battery compartment on the back.
2. Insert 3 batteries of type AAA/R03 (batteries not supplied).
Please ensure that the polarity is correct (see the floor of the
battery compartment)!
3. Close the battery compartment again.
4. If the device is not used for a prolonged period of time,
please take the batteries out in order to prevent leakage of
battery acid.
5. The letters "LO" in the display indicate that the batteries
should be replaced.
CAUTION:
Different battery types or new and used batteries must not
be used together.
Batteries are not to be disposed of together with domestic
wastes. Dispose of the used batteries at the relevant
collection bin or at your dealer's.
WARNING:
Do not expose the batteries to high temperatures or direct
sunlight. Never throw batteries into the fire. There is a danger
of explosion!
Use
The balance was designed to indicate precisely the increase
in or the loss of weight.
Position the balance on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpets).
Uneven floors lead to imprecise readings.
Turn on the scales by pressing slightly on the surface with
part of your foot.
The scales and the display perform a self-test (8....). Shortly
afterwards the value „0,0" (kg) (0,0 lb., 0: 0 st) appears.
NOTE:
On the back of the scales there is a small button. Push this
button while the device is switched on to switch between the
settings „kg", „lb" and „st".
Step on the balance. Distribute your weight equally on the
balance and wait for the balance to calculate your weight.
At first the display flashes and then your exact weight is
shown.
When you have got down from the scales they switch off
automatically after 5 seconds in order to prolong battery life.
NOTE:
If the letters „EEEE" appear, the weight is above 150 kg.
If 0.0 kg (0.0 lb., 0: 0 st) appears while you are weighing
yourself, this indicates that you stood on the scales too
soon. The self-test had not finished. The display goes off.

Usage tips

The scales are designed for a maximum weight of 150 kg
(330,7 lb., 23,62 st).
Weigh yourself without any clothes or shoes on before
meals and always at the same hour of the day. The best
time to weigh yourself is when you wake up in the morning.
