Special safety instructions

This appliance must not be used by persons,
including children, with a physical, sensory
or mental disability or anyone without
experience or knowledge unless they are
supervised or have been instructed how to
use the appliance.
Children must not play with the appliance.
Check the cord for damage or wear prior
to each use. Have the cord replaced if it is
cracked, split or damaged in any other way.
If the cord becomes damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similar qualifi ed person for safety
reasons.
Do not plug the air cooler into the mains
until the water tank has been put in place
and fi lled.
The air cooler is not suitable for use outdoors,
in bathrooms or in other wet or damp
environments. Never touch the air cooler,
cord or plug with wet or damp fi ngers.
Grasp the plug to pull it out of the socket.
Never pull on the cord.
Never insert fi ngers or other objects through
the grille protecting the air cooler.
Place the air cooler on a fl at, stable surface.
Take care not to knock it over when the
tank contains water. Avoid running over a
threshold or bump when there is water in the
tank.
The water tank must not be fi lled any higher
than the MAX mark. To enable the air cooler
to function properly, the level of water in
the tank must be between the MIN and MAX
marks.
Never use the air cooler together with a light
dimmer or an on/off timer.
Make sure there is suffi cient clearance
behind the air cooler.
Do not cover the intake or exhaust of the air
cooler.
Preparation
Pull the water tank out of the air cooler and
fi ll it with fresh tap water to a level between
the MIN and MAX marks.
If you want extra fast cooling, you can freeze
the two ice packs supplied and then place
them in the water tank instead of fi lling it
with water.
Replace the water tank. Make sure you do
not spill water onto the appliance.
Use
Plug the air cooler in. A signal will sound
when the air cooler is switched on.
Press the buttons on the control panel or
remote control to operate the air cooler. The
appropriate indicators will come on.
On/Off (12)
Press the On/Off button (12) to switch the air
cooler on or off .
Speed (11)
Press the Speed button (11) one or more
times to choose between blower speeds
High, Medium or Low.
