4 Outdoor Mobility Base

4.1 Functions

4.1.1 Pushbar

The pushbar can be adjusted in height and angle to better fit the attendant.
Adjusting the Height of the Pushbar
Loosen the clamping lever on both sides, move the pushbar to the desired height and re-tighten
the clamping levers until they are snug (Fig. 13).
Adjusting the Angle of the Pushbar
Flip up the clip of the locking pin and pull out the locking pin to release the back brace. Choose
another hole in the back brace to change the pushbar angle. There are three possible positions.
Reinsert the locking pin and secure with the clip (Fig. 14).

4.1.2 Brakes: Operation and Adjustment

Pull the large brake levers to apply the drum brakes (Fig. 72, item A). Simultaneously move the
small levers downwards (Fig. 72, item B) to lock the brakes. Pull the large brake levers (Fig. 72,
item A) again to release the brakes.
You can adjust the drum brakes (independently on the left and right side) to always achieve
optimal braking. To do this, loosen the counter nut (Fig. 73, item A) and turn the adjustment nut
(Fig. 73, item B) until you reach the braking effect you desire. Snugly re-tighten the counter
nut.

4.1.3 Adjusting the Seat Tilt

To change the angle of the seating unit, loosen the turning handle on the left frame side (in
driving direction) up to the stop. Next, push in the spring-mounted turning handle to release the
adjustment bar. The seat can now be moved freely around the axle of the seat adapter. Bring
the seat into the desired position, release the turning handle and wiggle the seat back and forth
to re-engage it with the adjustment bar.
Firmly re-tighten the turning handle (Fig. 15).

4.1.4 Frame Length/Adjusting the Wheelbase

The telescoping front frame lets you use mounted seating units of various sizes, and offers a
wheelbase adjustment range between 800 mm to 920 mm. To change the wheelbase, loosen
and remove the two screws on either side of the oval tube front frame. Push in or pull out the
front section until the desired position has been reached (Fig. 16, 17).
Reposition the screws and snugly re-tighten. Each position must be secured with two

screws on each side.
