Installing the Clear Shield (FIG 4)
your saw comes with a clear shield which provides extra safety to the user during the operation. To
install the clear shield:
1. Place clear shield (1) between the two arms (2) in the position as show in fIG 4.
2. Align the slide groove on the clear shield with the hole on the arm on both sides (2).
3. Place the washer (4) between the clear shield and the arm on the one side, insert the bolt (3)
through the slide groove (5) on shield, the washer (4) and the hole on the arm (2).
4. Screw the knob (6) on, and tighten it.
5. Repeat step 3 and 4 on the other side.
6. The clear shield should be able to slide up and down through the groove, and swing up freely.

Installing the Rubber Feet (FIG 5)
The saw has three pre-drilled holes in the base. Two are at the front, one is on the back. Three rubber
foot pieces are provided in the loose parts package. you may install them on the base (fIG 5).

Mounting the Saw to Work Surface
If the saw is to be used in a permanent location, it must be secured to a supporting surface such
as a work bench. Secure the saw to a suitable work surface by inserting the appropriate mounting
hardware through the three pre-drilled holes in the base of the saw.

Removing and installing the Blades (FIG 6, Page 10)
This saw uses both pin-end and plain-end scroll saw blades. Two blade clamp screws are provided
for plain-end blade installation.
WArning:
1. Turn off and unplug the saw from the power source.
2. Slide the clear shield all the way up.
3. Release the blade tension by lifting up the blade tension lever (1),
4. Remove the table insert.
5. Loosen both upper and lower blade clamp screws if they are on.
6. Push down on the upper blade holder (2) to remove the blade from the holder. Remove the blade
from the lower blade holder (3).

Make sure saw is on a firm, level surface and properly
Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged
Blade teeth are sharp. Be careful when handling the blade.
