Setting into Operation
Open the rear compartment of the multimeter
and take out the firmly connected test leads
(6). Always connect the red test lead to the
positive pole of the circuit to be tested, the
black to the negative pole.
The multimeter is switched on by turning the
rotary switch (5) away from the OFF position.
If there is no display (short display of all facili-
ties for a moment), insert two batteries of the
types LR-44 or SR-44 (see chapter 6 "Battery
Replacement"). For switching-off set the ro-
tary switch to position OFF. The multimeter
automatically switches off after 10 minutes if
not in use. To switch on again, set the rotary
switch to position OFF at first and then to the
desired measuring function.

Operation
IMPORTANT! Remove the test tips from the
circuit to be tested prior to setting the rotary
switch (5) to another measuring function.

5.1 Voltage measurement

ATTENTION! The max. measuring voltage of
450 V must not be exceeded.
1) Set the rotary switch (5) to position "V".
The multimeter is in the DC voltage mode.
