Active mode
• When the illuminated reticle is switched on with
Automaticlight, it is always active at an angle of 0–45°
(up/down/sideways).
Standby mode
• After 2 minutes in a motionless state at an angle of
0–45° (up/down/sideways), the illuminated reticle is
switched off and automatically switches to "standby"
mode.
• In the range from 45–75° (up/down), the illuminated
reticle remains active for 2 minutes and then automatically
switches to "standby" mode.
• From an angle of over 75° (up/down/sideways), the
illuminated reticle immediately switches off and
automatically enters "standby" mode.
The smallest movement is enough to switch out of "standby"
mode, and once in a shooting position (0–45°), the
illuminated reticle is reactivated with the last used light
intensity within a fraction of a second.
Power-down mode
• If left in a motionless state for 2 hours (standby), the
illuminated reticle switches off and automatically enters
"power-down" mode.
• If no adjustment to the illumination dial is made within
4  hours, the illuminated reticle switches off and auto-
matically enters "power-down" mode.
22
By switching the illuminated reticle off and on again using
the illumination dial, the power-down function is deactivated
and the illuminated reticle is reactivated.
Deactivation
To deactivate the Automaticlight function, proceed as
follows:
1. Switch off the illuminated reticle
2. Hold the rifle scope in a horizontal position
3. Rotate the rifle scope by 180°
4. Turn the illumination dial once as far as it will go and
back again. The Automaticlight function is deactivated.
All other illuminated reticle functions remain unchanged
(switching on/off and light intensity +/–)
Reactivation
To reactivate the Automaticlight function, repeat the entire
deactivation procedure.

11 CHANGING THE BATTERY

The battery is integrated in the lid of the illumination turret
on delivery. In some KAHLES models, a spare battery is
included, which is located in the protective cap of the
windage adjustment. To change the battery:
1. Switch off the illuminated reticle
2. Using a coin, unscrew the battery cover in an anti-
clockwise direction
3. Remove the old battery
4. When inserting the new battery, ensure that the side
marked "+" is pointing upwards (when viewed from
above)
5. Replace the battery cover and turn clockwise to tighten.
Caution!
Only use type CR 2032 batteries
