Commissioning
Once the previous checkups and verifications are made, we proceed to the commissioning of the
electric pump leaving the valve partially closed, if possible. The pump must not run dry.
For pumps attached to a base plate (BQP/AQ) make sure to lubricate the bearing box. Generally,
any oil with a 4.5º E viscosity at 50ºC at the speed of 1500 r.p.m. and a 6,5º E viscosity at 65ºC at a
lower speed can be implemented. An oil change must be done every 12 months at temperatures
lower than 50ºC or every 6 months for higher temperatures. In any case, the temperature at the
bearing box can't surpass 85ºC.
Maintenance and conservation
1.- The "monobloc" pumps don't need any maintenance task but it is highly recommended
to empty the pump in wintertime if the climate conditions are particularly tough. This way the
pump can be prevented from structural breaks and cracking if the liquid freezes.
2.- Main maintenance tasks for pumps on a base plate:
The main procedure to dismantling the pump consists in:
1. Disconnect the pump from both the electricity network and the hydraulic circuit.
2. Physically separate the electrical conductors of the electrical panel from the pump.
3. Verify there are not any residual voltages.
4. Get rid of the auxiliary elements unrelated to the working area of the pump.

After 1000 hours of operation, change the bearings lubricating oil. To do that,
uncover the filling and the emptying plug. Once it is empty, you can put the
emptying plug back. The correct capacity measure is at the half of the level
viewer. Finally, place the filling plug back and check the valve is not sealed.
After 2000 hours of service, verify that there are not impurities in the
mechanical sealing.
Replace any elements subjected to wear/abrasion such as mechanical seals,
bearings, shafts, joints, etc. if it is required.
