Description of the pump

Centrifugal pumps incorporate a casing as its main element and an impeller assembled inside
a cover that works as a support, where a conveniently sustained shaft smoothly rotates. The
pumps also feature perfectly aligned bearings, a proper sealing by the use of joints and a
mechanical sealing customized for every type of liquid and special requirement from the
installation.
The pump may be attached to a base plate. In this case, it must be driven with elastic coupling
and be perfectly aligned to the electric motor or an internal combustion engine.

Installation and assembly

It should be underlined that the assembly does not require any special tool. It will be
sufficient with usual screws for its establishment as well as for accessories and the pipe
fitting. Install the pump in a dry place with proper ventilation.
In the first instance, the correct alignment between the pump and the motor must be checked,
even if the group is already assembled, because the previous transportation might have caused
a misalignment (only for pumps attached to a base plate). This procedure can be made with a
ruler or an indicator. The diameter of the pipes will be determined regarding the flow losses. Both
the suction and the driving pipes must have at least the same diameter as the pump suction port.
The pipe installation must remain hermetic, with total absence of counterslopes.
In the same vein, elbows, valves and strangulations must be avoided as well as any cause of flow
loss. The flow must be channeled in a way to prevent sudden changes. Always install a foot valve.
The suction pipe must be equipped with a retention/check valve if needed, a gate valve and a
manometer.

Due to the high-quality design, the equip is prepared to work
under harsh conditions. Therefore, we can declare that the unit
can be installed outdoors but not uncovered. Even so, it is
recommended to assembly the unit inside and industrial plant.
