10.7 Holiday operating mode
By using this function, you can leave your heater in the "Antifreeze" mode for
the number of hours or days during which you will be absent from your home.
This function is intended for use during long periods of absence, from 1 hour
to 99 days, which can be programmed.
We off on holiday!
In the following example, we are going to programme your heater so that it is
switched off for eight days, the period in which you will be absent.
1º
Access the functions menu by pressing the "OK" key for at least two
seconds. All the heater's functions will be displayed in the upper section of
the screen.
2º
Use the
keys to position the function selector cursor
"holiday" symbol (Note 6).
3º
Press "OK" to accept this.
4º
The screen now displays the following information:
- The cursor is on the suitcase.
- It displays "no", which means that you have not programmed any
period or absence or holidays.
- The programmed "Antifreeze" tempe
rature (for example, 8 ºC).
5º
Use the "+" key to raise the value to "8 d"
on the screen, which are the number of days
you will be absent. The screen display will
appear as follows:
6º
When the days have been entered, press
"OK".
The screen now displays the following informa-
tion:
1) The heater is in the "Holiday" mode, with the
"Antifreeze" function set.
2) The room temperature (18 ºC).
3) The clock and the day of the week.
7º
When the programmed period of eight days
goes by, the heater will return to the previous
operating mode.
Important note: to modify the "Anti-icing" temperature, see the section,
"Antifreeze operating mode" page 41.
10.8 Presence sensor operating mode:
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The "Presence Sensor" operating mode is only available when in the
Comfort or Automatic mode (within the programmed comfort periods).
You thermal fluid heater includes an innovating system that will detect the pre-
sence of people in the room.
The intelligent sensor can therefore automatically save on electricity when there
is nobody in the room.
When you are in the room, the sensor will detect your presence and the heater
will operate at the Comfort temperature you have programmed.
When the sensor no longer detects that the room is occupied, the temperature
will automatically progressively reduce the Comfort temperature you have pro-
grammed, thus avoiding unnecessary power consumption while there is nobody
in the room.
Once the heater reaches the comfort temperature you programmed, but
does not detect the presence of people during half an hour, it will change
to the POWER SAVING mode, with the programmed comfort temperature
being re-established when somebody enters the room.
The presence sensor is an infrared type "IR" and can detect movement within
a range of five metres.
"When movement is no longer detected by the sensor, the heater will pro-
gressively reduce the Comfort temperature by a maximum of 2.5ºC with
respect to the Comfort temperature you have programmed".
1º
During the first hour without detecting any presence, the programmed tem-
perature will be slowly reduced by 1 ºC.
For example, if the Comfort temperature is programmed to 22 ºC, it will be pro-
gressively reduced to 21 ºC during this first hour.
over the
2º
It the sensor continues without detecting any presence in the room for the
next half hour, the Comfort temperature will be reduced by another 0.5 ºC. In
the same example, the Comfort temperature will fall from 21 ºC to 20.5 ºC.
3º
This process will continue every half hour until a total temperature drop of
Note 6
2.5 ºC occurs with respect to the programmed Comfort temperature. Again in
this example, the comfort temperature will be reduced from 22 ºC to 19.5 ºC.
When the sensor finally detects movement again, the heater will return to its ini-
tial conditions of 22 ºC.
OPERATING NOTES "PRESENCE SENSOR":
* Sensor detection range:
* The presence sensor will not detect any movement beyond its five-
metre range.
* The presence sensor is only enabled in the "COMFORT" and "AUTO-
MATIC" modes (within the programmed Comfort periods).
* You should take into account the fact that the sensor will also detect
the movement of pets.
* DO NOT PLACE ANY OBJECT IN FRONT OF OR CLOSE TO THE SEN-
SOR.
* Care should be taken when positioning the heater, so that the presen-
ce sensor is able to cover the greatest area inside the room.
* DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THE SENSOR. It could be damaged and
work incorrectly if it is touched or interfered with in any way.
How is the Presence Sensor activated?
