SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

 The capstan winch may only be operated by persons who have been
trained in its use.
 Always make sure that the capstan winch is in safe operating condition
before use.
 The capstan winch must not be used if damage to the device is
determined.
 The pulling rope and all parts connected to it, must meet the require-
ments stated in the Technical Specifications and must not exhibit
damage of any kind.
 The operating staff must use personal protective equipment in line with
the construction site assessment.
 Before starting work, remove any obstacles in the work area.
 The capstan winch must be fastened such that either the ground or the
system can safety absorb the tensile forces.
 The operator stands next to the winch, keeping a sufficient safety
distance and pulls the pulling rope, applying very little force, at a
90° angle to the pulling direction via the safety rope guide.
 During pulling, do not reach into the capstan or the wound infeed and
output side rope section.
