Need to edit your already bound books? The Fastback
binder allows you to add or remove pages from bound
books - meaning you can make minor revisions to your
documents. So when you realize you've put the wrong
page in, don't worry, follow these easy steps:
Go to the Main Menu and select Edit. What follows are
the steps to edit pages. The helpful machine prompts are
noted below.
1. Insert New Page. Open your document fl at on the
table and fold down the corner of the page you want
to remove. Behind this page, insert the sheet you
want to add. Position this new replacement page into
the document as close to the adhesive as possible,
but not completely fl ush. (fi g. 13)
2. Push Bind Button. Insert the document in the
binder as usual and press the BIND button.
3. Pinch Page Sections. During the binding, pinch the
front and back sections of the book, leaving the dog-
eared page free. (fi g. 14)
4. Remove Page. When the clamps open, immediately
remove the dog-eared page (with the document
still in the binder) by grasping that folded corner and
gently but fi rmly peeling it away from the spine from
left to right. (fi g. 15)
5. Tap Down New Page. Tap the top edge of the
replacement page to ensure that is even with the
other pages in the document. (fi g. 16)
6. Put Book in Cooling Rack. Remove the bound
document from the machine and place it spine
down in the Cooling Rack. Allow it to cool for
approximately 2 – 3 minutes.
If the page does not come out easily, repeat steps 2-6
above.
