MIC mixing
When a microphone is connected to the MIC jack, its sounds can be
mixed and played back with all the audio signals input to the unit.
Before using a microphone, observe the following precautions
Take note of the position and directions of the speakers and micro-
phone when sound is heard through the speakers, since howl (acous-
tic feedback) may arise.
Use headphones for mixing recording.
*
Use a dynamic or electret microphone with an impedance of between
600 ohms and 10 kohms.
The sensitivity may be deficient if the im-
pedance is too low.
Use a microphone cord which is as short as pos-
sible in order to prevent noise interference and high-range attenuation.
*
When not using a microphone, unplug the microphone from the MIC
jack, and turn the MIC LEVEL control fully to the left.
Mixing while playing back an audio program source.
1. Insert the microphone's plug into the MIC jack.
2. Begin playback of the record or other program source, and adjust
its volume using the VOLUME control.
3. Graduafly turn the MIC LEVEL control to the right, adjusting the micro-
phone input level until it approximately matches the volume level of
the program source.
*
Mixing recording is not possible.
Magia while playing back
a VCR or VDP.
. Insert the microphone's
plug into the MIC jack.
5 Set the VIDEO SELECTOR switch to the program source, then play
the program source.
3. Adjust the mixing level using the SOUND MIXING control.
Turning
the control to the '"AUDIO"' side will cause the input from the micro-
phone to increase, and turning it to the ''VIDEO" side will cause the
input from the source to increase.
When the S-X1130 is connected to a timer
By connecting the unit's power plug to a timer, the unit's power can
be turned ON/OFF at preset times, allowing automatic reception and play-
back of FM/AM broadcasts.
When the unit's power is turned on, the
last station memory function will operate to tune in the last station playing
when the power was previously turned off.
If the VIDEO MONITOR
switch is set to VIDEO, it will not be possible to playback the broadcast.
