Indications:
For all process in which a spinal immobilisation is required.
Precautions:
• Read carefully these instructions before using the brace. For any doubt, consult
always your doctor or the establishment where you have acquired this brace.
• A qualified medical practitioner is the only person who can prescribe and decide
the duration of the treatment.
• The technical orthopaedist is the only person qualified to shape the stays
accordingly with the required circumference and to fit the back support
• For a higher efficiency, follow the instructions specified by your medical
practitioner regarding the daily time of use.
• For complete therapeutic results, you must use the correct size of the back
support.
• This brace should never be used for any other use different to the one prescribed.
Do not allow children to play with this brace.
• If you notice any side effects, you must contact immediately your doctor. You
should inform your doctor if you suffer of skin affection. For maintaining the life
of the product, avoid the use of creams during the treatment.
• On the pressure points, the skin should not be injured nor irritated.
• Do not wear the brace when bathing or having a shower, etc.
• Check periodically the condition of the straps to ensure that they are free from
grease, damage, etc.
Instructions for proper fitting:
It is recommended to put the back support on in front of a mirror. For hygienic and
comfort reasons, it is advisable to wear a cotton garment underneath your back
support.
Elcross Light back supports have been developed with a breathable material. They
are provided with frontal or lateral (mod. 2134) internal velcro closures (A) designed
ergonomically to help putting on and off the back support.
They also have lateral velcro (C) where the lateral straps (B) could be provisionally
placed before fixing them on the frontal closure of the velcro loop (A) of the back
support.
Elcross Light sacrolumbar back support models 2131, 2132, 2132N, 2133, 2133N
(Fig. 1):
• Make sure that the lateral straps (B) are placed on the lateral velcro (C).
• Take the frontal velcro (A) off the back support. Place the Elcross Light back
support to the adequate height and position, without making tension.
• Fit the back support correctly and close the frontal velcro (A). Take the lateral
straps (B) off the lateral velcro (C) and pull them with the same tension, from
the rear to the front. Close the lateral straps (B) over the frontal closure of velcro
loop (A).
