Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Cannot set Start Time 2
Motion sensor does
not turn on .
Lights turn on, then
off, and stay off .
Nothing turns on .
Lights flash on and off .
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1 . Stop Time 1 is not set .
1 . Not within programmed time interval .
2 . "On Time" duration not set .
3 . Wiring to terminals is incorrect .
1 . Loose strand of wire shorting (touching
between two station terminals) .
2 . Faulty wire connection at light .
1 . Controller/transformer is not plugged in .
2 . Controller/transformer is not plugged into a
working outlet .
3 . Programming is incorrect .
4 . Wiring to terminals is incorrect .
1 . Wattage has been exceeded with too
many lights .
2 . Run of wire too long .
3 . Wire guage too small .
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Set Stop Time 1 before setting Start Time 2.
Motion sensor only works within progrmmed "on"
time for the particular station .
Set how many minutes the motion sensor will
remain on when motion sensor is detected . See
page 10 for more information .
Check wire to verify that they are correctly
inserted into terminals . See page 7 for more
information .
Release wire from terminal twist wire strands
to tighten and reinsert into terminal . Note:
Disconnect from power source before touching
any unprotected wire .
Verify that light wire is connected to power
supply wire correctly (see page 7) and that it is
not wet . Note: Disconnect from power source
before touching any unprotected wire .
Plug controller/transformer into a working
outlet or connect to power source .
Verify that the outlet being used has power .
Check that Start Times, Clock, and Days of Week
are programmed correctly .
Check wires to verify that they are correctly
inserted into terminals . See page 7 for more
information.
Total light wattage for combined stations cannot
exceed 54 watts . Eliminate lights from plan .
Shorten the length of the wire runs or remove
lights until flashing stops .
Power cable should be 12G-16G outdoor
landscape lighting wire .
