To attach the outer shells:
Press down on the clamp of the outer shell to ensure it is in
the unlock position. Position the tab on the top edge of outer
shell into the slot (F:12) on the top edge of the earcup.
When the outer shell is pressed fully into place, push the
clamp (F:13) upwards to lock the outer shell to the earcup.
12.2. APPLYING MICROPHONE PROTECTOR
TAPE
(Figure F)
To protect the boom speech microphone from humidity and
dirt, use microphone protector HYM1000.
Attaching the microphone protector:
F:14 Use a pair of scissors to cut 100 mm of mic protector
tape. Remove the protective paper.
F:15 Place the microphone in the end of the tape as shown in
the picture.
F:16 Fold the protector tape and make sure that the
microphone is covered.
F:17 Press tightly to seal the protector tape.
F:18 The microphone is now ready to use.
12.3. BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Tools needed:
• Small screwdriver without sharp edges.
• Torx screw driver T8.
NOTE: Be careful not to pierce, scratch or damage the battery.
12.3.1. REMOVAL
(Figure F:19 to F:25)
1. (Figure F:19 and F:20)
Press downwards to unlock the latch (1) on the left cup
and remove the cup (2) and (3).
2. (Figure F:21)
Insert the tip of a small screwdriver without sharp edges
below the battery latch.
(Figure F:22)
Tilt the screwdriver gently to unlatch the battery. The
battery will be loosened and tilted in the battery
compartment.
3. (Figure F:23)
Lift out the battery. The battery connector is located behind
the battery compartment. It must remain connected until
the battery compartment (1) has been removed as
described in bullet 4.
Be careful not to cause damage to the two wires.
4. (Figure F:24)
Loosen the two fixing screws (1) holding the battery
compartment and remove it. Allow the screws to remain in
the holes.
5. (Figure F:25)
Pull the connector (1) gently upwards to remove it from the
socket on the circuit board.
12.3.2. INSTALLATION
(Figure F:26 to F:33)
This instruction assumes that there is no battery installed in
the headset. The left cup is removed.
1. (Figure F:26)
Loosen the two fixing screws (1) holding the battery
compartment and remove it. Allow the screws to remain in
the holes.
2. (Figure F:27)
Install the battery connector to the socket on the circuit
board.
The socket is keyed, so it only fits in one way.
The red wire is placed on the left hand side of the
connector and shall be plugged into the socket
accordingly.
3. (Figure F:28)
Install the battery compartment.
Make sure the battery wires are placed as shown in the
figure (1) and that no wires are clamped.
Press gently until it fits in place.
4. (Figure F:29)
Tighten the fixing screws using a gentle force.
5. (Figure F:30 and F:31)
Place the battery in the compartment in an angle shown in
the figure.
Then press gently (1) until the battery is fitted in the
compartment, and the latch (2) has locked the battery in
position.
6. (Figure F:32 and F:33)
Install the cup (1), (2) and press the latch (3) inwards and
up to lock the cup in position.
7. (Figure A:1)
The battery is delivered in "shipping mode" to reduce
self-discharge and will not start until the charger is
connected.
