Fix the countershaft U2 additionally to U7
with an intermediate piece.

HAND MILLING MACHINE
ASSEMBLING:
Clamp U9 with clamping connection on to U7,
connect countershaft U2 with adapter U10 additi-
onally to U7. Infeed: loosen screw U33 from U10,
deliver, then fasten. Work either with 6000 rpm (with
little force), or use the high-speed motor (accessory
162 420). Fix the long machine bed U1 (or similar)
by means of two clamps on the table and use it as
guide rule.
WORKING:
Mill maximum 2 mm deep (with high-speed
motor), control the milling direction.
ATTENTION:
With this machine you can seriously injure your-
self.
AVOID:
Wrong milling direction, a dirty work-piece sur-
face, and milling too deeply.
MAINTENANCE:
This machine hardly needs any maintenance, but
it should be kept clean.
POSSIBILITIES:
Model building, toy building, milling of game
boards and other similar objects, profile-ridges, fur-
niture restoration, ...
TECHNICAL DATA:
Collets 0.5 – 6 mm, infeed maximum 2 mm, speed
approximately 3000 rpm (with high-speed motor).
The assembling of vertical drilling machines or
fixed sanding machines mostly only is necessary
when using specialized techniques of processing.
Among the accessories or in specialist shops one
can find various other tools (acc. 162 220) for examp-
le, polishers, glass carvers, whetstones, circular
saws. These can extend the possibilities of UNIMAT
1 considerably.
You do not need a 1000 W drilling machine
„HAND" MACHINES
DEVICE:
The individual parts of these off-hand machines
are: Motor-countershaft unit M4 (as for every machi-
ne). One of the 8 collets (with tool) or the face plate
U25 with sanding paper. Hand-tools can be put
together quickly when setting up machines.

Remove motor-countershaft unit from the
machinebed (loosen the connection piece) and
change the fixed tool (in this case the excentric),
then fix the drill with a collet and now the hand
drilling machine is ready.
Hand grinder
or:
Instead of the drill you can screw the sanding
disc on to the countershaft and produce a hand
grinder or sander.
