Inserting and removing the
battery
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Only insert the re-
chargeable battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect
battery can damage the device and bat-
tery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (9) along the guide in-
to the battery holder (8).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (10)
on the battery (9).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery hold-
er (8).
Switching on and off
Notes
• The device may only be used with one
battery .
• Remove the encasing (14) from the
safety cutter bar (2) before switching
on the device.Press the encasing at the
location marked with →PRESS←.
• The on/off switch (6) and the safety
switch (4) must not be locked. The
motor must be switched off when the
switch has been released.
Switching on
CAUTION! Personal injury or dam-
age to the device! Ensure your stance is
stable and hold the device tightly with
both hands and away from your body.
1. Remove the encasing (14).
2. Ensure that the battery (9) is inserted.
3. Always hold the device with both
hands: One hand on the handle (7)
and the other hand on the front handle
(5).
4. Press the safety switch (4) on the front
handle (5).
5. NOTICE! Before switching the device
on, make sure that it is not touching
any objects.
Press and hold the safety switch (4) on
the front handle (5) while pressing the
On/Off switch (6) on the handle (7).
The device will run at maximum speed.
Switching off
1. Release one of the two switches.
2. Wait until the power tool has stopped
before placing it down.
3. Remove the rechargeable battery (9)
from the device if you are leaving the
device unattended or if you have fin-
ished working.
Transport
Notes
• Switch off the device and remove the
battery (9). Make sure that all moving
parts have come to a complete stop.
• Always transport the hedge trimmer
with the encasing (14).
• Always carry the device by the handle
(7).
