OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
OPTIPLUS 22 SERIES CONTROLLER
7. AUTOMATIC RESET FUNCTION
This system performs a series of automatic starts after the appliance falls into FAILURE,
attempting to automatically reset the device without manual intervention, acting as follows:
The device goes into FAILURE due to lack of water. After 5 minutes, the system performs a
reset of 25 seconds trying to prime the pump. If it succeeds, the FAILURE disappears and the
device is ready to restart the pump as soon as there is a demand for water. If the FAILURE
persists, the system will try a new reset after 30 minutes and will repeat this operation
successively for a period of 24 hours. If after all these attempts the FAILURE persists, the
system will remain in FAILURE until the problem is manually resolved.
8. TROUBLESHOOTING
1.The pump does not stop
a) Water loss of more than 1.5 l/min at some point in the installation: taps, WC, etc.
b) Manual start button (RESET) blocked:
If the anomaly persists, contact the manufacturer.
c) Fault in the electronic circuit:
Proceed to its replacement.
d) Wrong electrical connection:
Check the connections as shown in figure 3.
2. Pump does not start
a) Lack of water supply, the safety system has tripped and the indicator light (FAILURE) is
on. Check the supply and start the pump using the manual start button (RESET).
b) The pump is not hydraulically primed. The dry running protection device has been
activated and the led (FAILURE) is on: prime the line, drain the remaining water in the
installation by opening a tap at the same level as the pump - to reduce the pressure of the
water column on the flow sensor and restore operation using the RESET button.
c)Pump blocked:
Indicator light (FAILURE) on, the safety system has operated. When the manual start button
(RESET) is pressed, the indicator light (ON) comes on but the pump does not start:
Contact the technical service.
d) Fault in the electronic circuit:
Disconnect the pump unit from the mains and reconnect. The pump must start, otherwise
the electronic circuit must be replaced.
