Connect the user to the fall arrest device.

5. PRE-USE INSPECTION

Perform a thorough visual inspection of the SENTRY tripod before each use by checking each of the items below:
i.
Check the formal inspection record of the SENTRY tripod is present and correct. Confirm that it has been
formally inspected in the last 12 months.
ii.
Inspect and confirm the tripod is structurally sound with no visible signs of damage. Pay particular attention
when inspecting the tripod legs, feet, head assembly and bow nut anchor points.
iii.
Inspect and confirm that all fixings and fasteners are present and secure.
iv.
Inspect and confirm that all product labels are present and legible.
v.
Inspect and confirm that all leg adjustment clips are present and secure.
vi.
Confirm that the tripod head locking pin is present and secure.

Only one fall protection system or positioning system may be attached to each individual
connection point.
IMPROPER USE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Inspect the SENTRY tripod before every use according to the criteria in this section.
Remove the tripod from service and quarantine immediately if it fails any of the pre-use
inspections.
Consult the manufacturer or a competent person if you have any doubts about any of the
inspection criteria.
IMPROPER USE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
If the SENTRY tripod fails any of the pre-use visual inspections; remove it from use, tag it as
"UNUSABLE" and return it to a Globestock approved service agent for formal inspection.
