how to set fill level
In can mode the ll level is measured by a non-contact pressure sensor that measures
the pressure inside the gas purge tube. When the liquid height in the can increases the
pressure in the gas purge tube will increase linearly with the ll height.
In bottle mode the ll level is measured by a timer. That means it will ll for a duration as
set during the programming of the ll level in bottle mode.
It's important that the pressure in the keg/unitank you are lling from is as stable as
possible to get the best result in bottle mode. We don't recommend using can mode for
lling bottles as when foam enters the bottle neck it causes a slight backpressure which
a ects the pressure sensor leading to lower accuracy. Bottle mode can be used for lling
cans. Can mode can be less accurate if the beverage is highly carbonated, in such case
bottle mode might be a better option for can lling.
The Duo ller will by factory default be in «Can mode». This is indicated by the color of
the button. Blue color=can mode and green button=bottle mode.
Set the ll level:
1. Hold the button until it starts to blink and release.
2. Insert an empty can below the ll head and do a short press on the button. The ll
sequence will now start.
3. Stop the lling at the desired ll level by another short press, and the ll level where it
was stopped will be saved as the ll level setpoint.
4. On removal of the can, it will automatically exit programming mode and it's ready for
use.
5. Start a ll sequence and it will automatically stop at the ll level setpoint where it was
stopped in the previous step.
For the best accuracy, set the ll level with the actual beverage you are lling. Because
of di erences in speci c gravity, carbonation, etc., there will be a di erence in the actual
ll level between for example uncarbonated water and beer. The ll level can be corrected
or ne-tuned by setting a correction value in the web interface, or moving the gas purge
tube up/down (can mode only) will cause the ll level to move accordingly.
If it's desired to change the purge time (default 6 seconds) it can be done in the web
interface.
